Don’t Warm Up Your Vehicle. WHAT?!
None of us want to leave our nice, warm home to sit in a freezing car but that may be the better option opposed to making it good and toasty before traveling.
If we know we have to endure a little cold while traveling to work or the store or even to drop off our kids at school then we will tend to BUNDLE UP prior to our trip.
If you have enough layers of clothing on and protective hand and footwear you should prevent injuries from the bitter cold if you find yourself in a collision or stranded in a non-working vehicle.
The motto should be “Always be prepared” no matter how far you are driving.
Make sure to have good, warm gloves and socks. Wear warm, comfortable footwear in case you have to walk to safety or to get a cell phone signal. Add extra layers of clothing and make sure you have a hat AND scarf.
Sounds silly but a little discomfort will remind you that your life as well as the lives of everyone in your vehicle could change in an instant.
